solstice magic

Well, it's hard to believe the longest day of the year has come and gone already!

I'm learning that in this country you've got to really embrace the summer with
energy & enthusiasm
otherwise you'll find you'll miss it!
We're playing 'happy hippy' and getting outdoors in summer dresses to dance
and sing on blankets
with incense (to keep off the bugs off)
Willow and Poppy are experts at enjoying the little joys.
Like this ladybug that we
spotted
yesterday on one of our sunflower plants.
She's bigger than the aussie ones and her spots are more uniform, like
a picture book!
She was happily munching aphids when we found her.
:)
Poppy is beginning to get up on her hands and knees ready to crawl!
It doesn't take her long to wiggle off the blanket and eat a handful of dandelions.
I made dandelion salad the other night, it was bitter but i couldn't resist
the fresh leaves blanketing the forest floor. They're so lush and such a gift
after winter, packed with all sorts of goodness!

And of course
there is always plenty of magic if you know where to look!
especially this time of year! ~*Midsummer!*~ (The Biggest Fairy Event!)

Willow is really becoming a little girl now. She's settling back in
to the friendly way of Houston and eagerly chatting with people in town.
Mail lady's, shop assistants, passers by.

Oh and...
We have a little gnome staying in our garden,
he seems quite content and we're absolutely delighted!
Life is grand, we are blessed and I am grateful.
:)
love and light

My goodness - Willow really has grown up! Miss and love her spirit!
Hi Poppy, you're a cutie and make us smile.

May the love and blessings remain.

Hugs all around!
